What is a screen changer? Screen changer, in short, is a device that filters impurities inside the melt and is widely used in both extrusion and polymerization production lines. According to the different structure of the screen changer, products can be selected for non-stop screen changer or short-term screen changer. Currently, the mainstream product in the market is non-stop screen changer.
Screen changer structure
1. Main body: Usually made of high-strength, high-temperature resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials, capable of withstanding high temperature, high pressure and other working conditions.
2. Filter: woven from metal wire or other high-temperature resistant materials, it can intercept impurities in the melt. According to production needs, different mesh sizes of filters can be replaced.
3. Drive device: used to automatically or manually control the movement of the filter screen and achieve the operation of replacing the filter screen.
4. Control system: By controlling the driving device, the net replacement operation is achieved, while monitoring the inlet and outlet pressure, temperature, etc.
Function of screen changer
1. Filtering function: Filter out aged or deteriorated particulate matter generated during the production process, low precision level particulate matter in recycled materials, various non plastic substances and non fusible plastics in recycled materials.
2. Quality assurance: The same screen changer can choose to install filters of different precision levels (high or low mesh size) according to the process requirements, to meet the product process level requirements.
3. Improving efficiency: During the screen changer process, it is possible to replace the filter screen without stopping the machine, which not only ensures the stability of product quality and production continuity, but also saves costs and increases efficiency.
4. Additional function: The material will generate a certain pressure rise after passing through the filter, and then pass through the diversion effect of the supporting porous plate holes, which has a certain effect on the plasticization and mixing uniformity of the material.
