Selection and Configuration Plan for Hydraulic Screen Changer in PE Pipe Extruder
The screen changer used in PE pipe production is generally installed between the extruder barrel flange and the die flange, with bolts securing it through the flanges into the threaded holes of the screen changer.

PE pipe extruders are currently classified into high-speed models and conventional models. Generally, conventional models are equipped with screen changers based on conventional selection principles, while high-speed models are equipped with screen changers one size larger than the base configuration. For PE solid-wall pipes, the plate-type dual-station hydraulic screen changer is selected due to its high cost-effectiveness, convenient and fast screen changing, ability to change screens without stopping the machine (small-diameter coils with a diameter of 25mm or less may require stopping or slowing down the machine for screen changing), and no material leakage. This has been widely recognized by customers.

For manufacturers with higher automation requirements, the dual-plunger fully automatic hydraulic screen changer can be used. It is particularly suitable for the melt filtration requirements of high-level automated production lines. The plunger body is made of high-quality alloy steel and undergoes nitriding treatment to extend the product's service life. It adopts an integrated structure with no load-bearing gaps, enhancing the bearing pressure and allowing the system to withstand higher pressures. The alternating working mode ensures continuous and stable material flow during screen changing, as well as the reproducibility of process parameters.

The standard configuration for the hydraulic screen changer of PE pipe extruders includes: the screen changer body, accumulator hydraulic pump station, and heating device.
