Discussion on prolonging the service life of melt mesh changer
Melt screen changers are widely used in polyester and spinning production lines. Their main purpose is to remove solid impurities such as organic melts, carbonized particles and metal oxides in melts, improve product quality, provide qualified raw materials for downstream processes and ensure normal production of downstream processes.
Therefore, the factors affecting the service life of the filter element are analyzed and the device is technically reformed, which prolongs the service life of the melt screen changer and improves the running stability of the device.
1. To improve the grinding effect of titanium dioxide, the polishing agent used in polyester production, commonly known as titanium, white powder, purity of 99.5%. Because the surface of polyester fibers is smooth and transparent, the reflective intensity of the fibers is very high under the irradiation of light, which makes the surface of the fibers glossy. The addition of titanium dioxide in the production can make the surface of the fibers darker. In the process of storage, titanium dioxide is easy to harden and need to be prepared for grinding. Because the titanium dioxide preparation system of Luoyang polyester plant has not designed centrifuge separation system, the macromolecule in the grinded titanium dioxide solution can not be separated. If the grinding is inadequate, the condensed particles will enter the follow-up system, block the filter element of the melt filter, and shorten the service life of the filter element. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the grinding effect and keep abreast of the working conditions of each grinder at any time. At the same time, in order to increase the grinding effect, glass beads are replaced by ceramic beads, so that the filtration rate is increased from 240 mL/min to 350 mL/min, and the effect is very remarkable.
2. The melt screen changer of the polyester plant is made of candlewick pleated filter. The original material is 15 micron wire mesh cloth. The online life of the screen changer is short. Under normal production conditions, the melt filter needs to be switched from 25 to 30 days, and it is not easy to clean. For this reason, sintered metal fibers with good filtration performance are replaced by sintered metal fibers. By comparing the two kinds of filter materials, it can be found that sintered metal fibers have better filtration performance than wire mesh cloth under the same filtration accuracy (15 micron). After changing the material of the filter, the service life of the filter is significantly longer, which can reach 50-65 days. On the premise of ensuring the stability and continuity of the long and short filament device, sintered metal fiber filter is used to change the filtering accuracy to 20 micron, and the service life of the filter can reach about 100 days.
